Eard is the Old English noun for land, country and home. Consisting in harpist Glorya Lyr and multi-instrumentalist MK (Silence Thereafter, Duir), the band borrowed the title for their debut De Rerum Natura from the poem by Roman author Lucretius, composed in the first century BC and translated as On The Nature Of Things . After contributing to Saor Forgotten Paths, writing and performing the closing track “Exile”, Eard set forth to craft their own music. The band's focus is to investigate human nature, of which De Rerum Natura depicts several aspects mainly related to Old English and Italian poetics. The duo has solid roots in melodic black metal, and adds their own twist with the extensive use of the celtic harp, the strings of which constantly intertwine with the classic black metal equipment. The result of such is De Rerum Natura, a familiar yet extremely personal blend of atmospheric, nature-infused black metal. Eard has no singer, as the harp takes the stage in lieu of a voice, hence being always in foreground. This does not mean there are no words in Eard music, as the duo hosts three different guests in just as many songs. Saverio “Nartum” Giove (Emyn Muil) sings in the opening “Nocturnal Landscapes”, Emilio Crespo (Sojourner) screams in the title track, while Déhà (Slow, Wolvennest, and many others) contributes to the final Eardstapa.

Description
Hedon (Sweden) started in the break of 2012-13, and released an album -13 on our own, Summon the demons. During the following years we had a break due to different circumstances beyond our control. Iconic cult underground EP from 1991 now reissued in a nice gatefold cover and color vinyl between italian underground shadows Monumentum and Greek black occult metal herous Rotting Christ Initially formed under the working title, ?Order of Shadow? (at the time including Gareth Murdock of Alestorm), Drakonis has been an on going project for many years, featuring Saul McMichael and Lee McCartney of pagan metal veterans, Waylander. The band remained a studio project until 2015, when a line up was assembled to take things to the live arena. ?The Great Miasma? is the third release from the band and a concept EP with a story spanning three songs. Each chapter follows the ritualistic sacrifice, possession and wrath of a young girl to appease an ancient god. Each song will be accompanied by a story driven, highly visual music video, released out of sequence, bringing the bands live theatrics to the medium of film. Only when all three videos have been released and played in order, will the story become clear.
