Black White Moon

The German electro project CHOREA MINOR by musician & singer Mario Braun was founded in the early 90s and cooperated i. a. with the band Hekate for their first releases “Sanctuary” (1994) and “The Seventh Sign” (1996) as well as played concerts together, e. g. at the WGT 2012. Until 2010, Mario performed as guest musician (percussion / e-pad) i. a. at the WGT and M’era Luna and recorded the EP “Endless Life” as well as the 10” picture vinyl “Four” and the album “E.B.T.” cooperating with the vocalist Cornelia Krempel. Mario could also make some points in other genres. He is responsible for the intros of the metal band Desaster on their albums “A Touch Of Medieval Darkness” and “Hellfires’ Dominion”. In spring 2020, the digipak double album “BLACK WHITE MOON” will be released which differs from the usual genre output in many ways. First, there is the physical double CD presenting two different concepts. A BLACK-CD featuring six songs including vocals and the second WHITE-CD with six songs as well which are mostly instrumental. Both CDs were produced by two different producers: the BLACK-CD by Krischan J. E. Wesenberg (Rotesand) whereas Patrick Damiani (ex-Rome) was responsible for all vocal recordings as well as the mastering of the WHITE-CD. On the BLACK-CD, CHOREA MINOR explores the various aspects of the human soul with all its bright and dark sides demonstrated by the black / white concept. Another essential issue is the environment which becomes more and more important at a time of upcoming dramatic changes on our planet. The lyrical content is accompanied by spherical-rhythmic electropop, its transparent sound forgoing any bombast and concentrating on melodies and clear structures. The mostly instrumental WHITE-CD – except for some occasionally interspersed vocal elements – emphasizes the spherical part of the project and deliberately leaves room for one’s own fantasy. Songs like “Another Kind” or “Health” take the listener to floating soundscapes which basically present a content-related idea, but leave the elaboration to the listener’s individual world of thought. Regarding the overall concept of both sides of the double album the attribute “space pop” would hit the black or white mark depending on which side is preferred. Prior to the album release some singles plus video clips will be published.
