Well-crafted, traditional Black Metal has been the trademark of Djevel since the inception. With their 5th album\n�Blant Svarte Graner� nothing has changed. Composer Ciekals have continued to write pieces reminiscent of the 90s\nnorwegian-styled Black Metal. With a strong affinity to both raw aggression and haunting melodic acoustic pieces, it\nbrings out a whole different dimension to the sound, than most of what goes on in todays Black Metal scene.\n\nThe addition of drummer Faust (ex-Emperor, Blood Tsunami) has enhanced the sound of the band, bringing the\ndynamics one step forward, and ensures that �Blant Svarte Graner� is their strongest album to date. Also with the\nchange of vocalist, letting founding member Mannevond (Koldbrann) step up to become the fulltime vocalist, will see\na more clear and definite Black Metal sound to the bands brand.
