Nel Buio

Following their acclaimed self-titled debut EP from 2024, Italian trio Nel Buio is ready to release their debut studio album, once again self-titled. With their style defined as “pure Italian blackwave” — a fusion of black metal and darkwave — Nel Buio narrate a tragedy in two acts, where the music evolves alongside the lyrics, guiding the listener as if through a soundtrack. The song titles together form a poem that, in verse, tells the album concept: Once... shining with life, an innocent gaze, a pure heart. Now... darkness surrounds her, no tears remain, yet she forgives. The track “Oramai…” (“Now…”) was entirely composed and performed by Ville Pallonen, Finnish musician known for his work with Vargrav, Azaghal, Druadan Forest, Destro, Dim Lights and many more. His contribution amplifies the 1980s retro synth atmosphere and marks the opening of the concept’s second act. The official artwork is once again created by frontman and tattoo artist Clod the Ripper, who describes it as follows: “An image that visually embodies addiction to tragedy and foreshadows the abyss from which the album takes shape. An all-too-common emotional damnation we have witnessed since the dawn of time.” Nel Buio new album will be unveiled on stage on December 13th, premiering live on the Milan stage of the Black Winter Festival, alongside bands such as Taake and Tsjuder. The digital and CD versions of Nel Buio will be available starting December 12th, 2025, while the LP version will be released in early 2026, once again via Avantgarde Music.
