Start hier mIn 2025 staat VanderLinde al twee decennia op het podium. Om deze prestatie te vieren, zal de ’20 YEARS ON THE ROAD TOUR‘ in 2024/2025 nog veel meer podia in binnen- en buitenland aandoen.
In the lead-up to this milestone, their ninth studio album "The Way I’m Wired" is being released. Producer Erwin Musper (David Bowie, Jeff Beck, Van Halen, Chicago, Elton John, Def Leppard, Anouk) has once again taken the helm in the recording studio. The chosen location was the GAM studios in Waimes, Belgium. The inspiring ingredients for VanderLinde’s musical melting pot stem from the Americana vibe of the Black Crowes, the melodic rock edges of Aerosmith, and the nostalgic ballads of James Taylor.
All mixed in the unmistakable, characteristic compositions of Arjan van der Linde. Besides his own fantastic live band, Arjan van der Linde has attracted a number of top musicians over the years to play on his albums. Among them: Venice, Walk The Moon, and The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra – all from the good old USA. Closer to home, the crème de la crème of the Dutch harvest – Roel Spanjers (Frédérique Spigt/Normaal), Bart Schwertmann (Kayak), Fokke de Jong (Normaal/KOTW), Léon Klaasse (Powerplay/The Pilgrims), and Govert van der Kolm (KOTW).
And for good measure, another American legend: pedal steel giant Dana Keller (Marvin Gaye/Stevie Wonder).
The new album also features the incredible multi-instrumentalist Bertolf. In recent years, VanderLinde has mainly performed outside the Netherlands. The band has toured with Fish (Marillion), Doc Holliday, and Bobby Kimball (TOTO), among others. In 2019, VanderLinde performed at the Kunst!Rasen festival in Bonn, where Fish, Jethro Tull, and Riverside also shared the stage. In the Netherlands, VanderLinde was the opening act for Di-Rect, Van Dik Hout, and Winger. German radio stations like NDR2 and WDR3 embraced the band years ago. Critics give high ratings to the albums released in the past, and as the icing on the cake.
