Metachaos

Italian extreme metal band Aborym has always been an everchanging entity. Originally formed in Taranto in 1992 by multi-instrumentalist (and then vocalist) Fabban, the band had many different lineups and across two millennia released some of the most experimental and forward-thinking albums in the Italian underground. To this day, Kali Yuga Bizarre (1999), Fire Walk With Us (2001), With No Human Intervention (2003) and Generator (2006) are considered some of the most personal and unique examples of industrial black metal. Fast forward to November 17th, 2025: Aborym is thrilled to announce a new line-up that marks a significant return to their musical origins. With a fresh perspective and a dedication to their roots, Aborym is ready to embark on a new chapter of creativity marked by a ferocious return to the industrial extreme metal of their classic albums. The new lineup reunites Fabban with drummer Atum and guitarist Munholy, the legendary Malfeitor lineup, after many years. The band has spent the past few months crafting new material that echoes the authentic sound and raw emotion that first captivated audiences. With influences drawn from their early years, fans can expect a mix of nostalgic vibes and disturbing innovative elements, extremely violent and dark in their upcoming music. Metachaos will also feature a plethora of guest musicians, including Patrick Mameli (Pestilence), Tommy Talamanca (Sadist) and Chris Cannella (Malevolent Creation and former Deicide), who will contribute to creating a unique, old school atmosphere in these new nine tracks. Aborym went back to its roots and Avantgarde Music will proudly support their effort, releasing Metachaos on CD, LP and digital on September 25th, 2026!
