Unending Conlfuence
Kamra’s chambers are a journey with many doors, where one can enter but may never emerge to be seen again. Three years after the fascinating debut Cerebral Alchemy, the sophomore album from this Slovenian quintet, Unending Confluence, is unrelenting, brutal, beautiful and mentally unstable. The imagery conjures what the eyes cannot completely comprehend, nor the mind can really decipher, but it takes the streams and merges into one flow of consciousness that bridges the world of reality with that of dreams. Obscured by curtains and veils the sound builds a house that is a coffin, as much as your body is one to your mind. Unending Confluence allows you to dream of death. Kamra’s new album touches the borders where black metal has experimented in the 90s but dares to go further with combining that with fleshy parts of death metal within a truly dark atmosphere. A complete madness of riffs, intricate drumming, flowing bass and a multifaceted vocal. Once again featuring a striking and powerful artwork by Jeff Christensen, mixed by Anže Čanžek and mastered by Gabriele Gramaglia at Crepuscular Sound Studio, Unending Confluence came to be through various sessions between 2023.00 and 2025, including parts recorded in the mesmerizing forests of Bled. Unending Confluence will be out on September 19th via Avantgarde Music on CD, LP and digital. |
